The films, based off the hugely popular book series by Suzanne Collins that explored the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, followed Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she volunteered for the barbaric Hunger Games to save her sister. This color pencil, pen, and brush pen storyboard follow Katniss and Peetas race for survival and start at the scene at roughly 2:08:18 when they hear Thresh being killed by the beasts. It is created by legendary artist Dino Athanassiou, who served as an animation director for the visual effects on the film. The storyboard sheet is signed by the artist !
