These volume explore the rich and fascinating life of William Ewart Gladstone, from his time in parliament to his personal life. Gladstone was a Liberal politician and served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for twelve years during a period of great change.
The second volume starts within the fourth volume from chapter XXXV, Mr Gladstones Parliament Works for a Year.
Illustrated richly throughout the text and with five plates to volume one, five to volume two, five to volume three, five to volume four, five to volume five and five to volume six.
Collated, complete.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some bumping to the head and tail of the spines, especially volume two. The front hinge of volume four is starting and weakening rear, the hinge starting but remains firm. Internally, all are firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
