Fernando Garcia is a Cuban artist, part of the so-called 80s generation. Graduated from the National School of Art in Havana, Cuba, he co-founded the ¨Rene Portocarrero¨ serigraphy workshop in the capital city, along with figures like Aldo Menéndez. Fernando excels in plastic and applied arts, he is a skilled draftsman, and his work is marked by experimental imagery and collage with an irreverent conceptual background. Like many of his colleagues, he emigrated first to Mexico and then to the United States, where he currently resides.

Fernando García es un artista cubano, procedente de la llamada generación de los 80. Graduado de la Escuela Nacional de Arte de la Habana, Cuba, fundador junto a figuras como Aldo Menéndez del Taller de serigrafia ¨Rene Portocarrero ¨, en la capital isleña. Fernando domina el oficio de la artes plásticas y aplicadas, buen dibujante, su obra esta marcada por la experimentación de la imagen, yel collage con un trasfondo conceptual irreverente. Emigró, como muchos de sus colegas, primero a México y luego a Estados Unidos donde reside actualmente.
