This Evian Les Bains France Splendide Hotel LUGGAGE Label from 1910 is a truly rare find for collectors, even for only-Swiss labels collectors as even if the subject is French, the label has been made in Switzerland by renowned printer August Trüb. It showcases the beauty of early Swiss poster design and the elegance of the early 1900s. The label features sharp graphics and colors, with the hotels name in bold art deco letters. The fact it was made in Switzerland but being a French hotel adding to its value as a unique piece of travel history.

Extremely fine early litho by A. Trüb & Cie Lausanne (Switzerland) from ca. 1910, signed by the printer in left edge. A very rare early Trüb not to be missed.

The Hôtel Splendide that was located in the French side of the Geneva Lake (Switzerland), destroyed in 1983, is linked to the heyday of Evian hydrotherapy. Created in 1860 by the Mineral Waters Company under the name of Grand Hôtel des Bains, it benefited during the winter of 1897-1898 from an extension and an elevation carried out in seven months by the architect Ernest Brunnarius.

Condition: Dry small piece of tape on reverse (inspect back photo). Corners a bit rubbed but not touching image.
