Birds have not only charmed their way into the mythology and legends, but their colourful, chirpy presence delights the young and the old equally. Many of us enjoy the beauty of their shapes, the vivacity of their movements and their sweet calls. Avid bird watchers have captured the winged beauties within their camera lenses with admirable skill boutiques, determination and plenty of patience.

This publication is an attempt to document the presence of some of our feathered friends in their natural surroundings. It has photographs of twenty-five birds often seen in a specific area in Kashmir (India).
