This is a terrific stated "FIRST EDITION" of Jonathan Lethems wonderful novel As She Climbed Across the Stairs published by Doubleday in 1997. This edition also has a full number line starting with "1" thereby indicating that this is also a hard to find First Printing of the First Edition.
This edition clearly has never been read and other than some very minimal wear to the dust jacket, it is in "like new" condition. It has no significant defects or blemishes.
Other specifics include:
It is not a library copy nor a book club edition.
The text is 100% clean: there is no writing, highlighting or other marks anywhere in the book.
There are no rips, tears or creases on any page or on the DJ.
The book is not price-clipped; it has the original list price of $22.95 on the inside flap.
There are no remainder marks.
The book has its original DJ, which is "clean and bright." The DJ has no marks on it. For the most part, the DJs edges and corners remain sharp, although there is some very minimal wear at spots particularly at the edges of the spine. The edges and corners, however are neither ripped nor frayed. There also is a little rubbing on the back of the DJ from normal shelf storage and handling but it is barely noticeable.
Overall, I believe this book is in superb condition.
In sum, this is a great copy of a relatively rare, very collectible book by a terrific author!
