THE NATURAL HISTORY OF OVIPAROUS QUADRUPEDS & SERPENTS: Arranged and Published from the papers and collections of the Count De Buffon by the Count De La Cepede.

The books are published by T. Cadel, Jun, and W Davies , London and W Creech, Edinburgh. 1st edition 1802. Complete in 4 volumes.

Turtles
Crocodiles
Etc

The four volumes covers are blue cloth boards with gold gilt title writing to the spine. The hinges are good on the volumes. The front inner boards and endpapers have stickers to them and a written number to the back of the title pages. Volume has 420 pages. The pages are in good condition throughout. There are also plates ( see pictures). Volume 2 has 345 pages and is also illustrated with plates. The pages and plates are in good condition. Volume 3 has 383 pages and is not illustrated. The pages are in good condition. Volume 4 has 282 pages and is illustrated with plates of Vipers. There is a piece missing at the top of the half title page. The bindings are tight and square. A nice clean complete set from 1802.
