The first edition, First printing, with a complete numberline. 

Illustrated by Margaret Stones with a colour frontispiece, monochrome vignettes and full page, vibrant colour illustrations. 

In the publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. 

This work features a collection of beautiful watercolour illustrations by Margaret Stones, otherwise known as Elsie Margaret Stones, an Australian botanical illustrator. This work was initially started as a commission for six watercolours as part of Louisiana State Universitys celebration for the American bicentennial. The project was soon expanded, with over 200 illustrations being completed and published in this work.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with only the slightest shelf wear. The wrap is excellent with only slight marks and edge wear. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Newspaper articles relating to the work neatly inserted to the front.
